Hannah is STREAKING!!!

Ok not in the nudity kinda way!! In the cool rocktastic hair kinda way!!! Miss Sarah is so sweet. She is the one who did the girl's hair and make-up for Hannah's birthday. Of course she is also the one who rocked out my hair. Bringing back Berlin baby ;) Well as most people know Hannah's favorite color is orange. If you didn't know that only 2 seconds in her room would let you in on it. So Hannah asked if she could have orange streaks in her hair. Sure why not. Your only 14 once have fun with your hair!

I think there is something on Hannah's nose!

Getting it all styled so she looks fabulous sitting on the couch ;)

I personally love it!! Being that it is orange I was afraid it was either going to look like she had played with Kool-Aid or the other extreme where she looks like a crazed football fan. But to me it looks just right. Like a cool teenage kid who wants to show off her favorite color!

I love the new cut too!

She loves it and really that is all that matters. She is slowly starting to get into make-up. Which blows my mind because by 14 I had already completely stopped the oxygen supply to my pores. You will wear make-up and be girly dang it!! :)

Tidbits

I am a woman recovering from neck surgery and this kid goes and steals my pillows!! ALL of my pillows. Well as long as he is comfortable Mommy can always take 2 pain pills ;P

Jason got him a drawing and writing game with his birthday money. Thank You Grandma Ann and Grandpa Marvin!! This boy is all about writing and drawing when Jason saw that they had the game around Christmas time it was all he talked about til Cameron got his first check.

This is later after his shower. Once again he his perched up on my pillows but now he is asking Jason to help. I just thought they looked to sweet together. I may have taken a couple ;) My matching men!

Everytime Jason's hair gets a bit shaggy we think of our friend Brenda. We are not sure what happened in her past but we believe she was attacked by a wig. Or maybe a huge hairball under her bed when she was a child. All we know is she is very very aware of the length of hair on all men's heads and when they need cut. We put Hannah to work this time and as she was doing it she said 'I think I have found my career!' I am not picky whatever gives her a steady paycheck ;)

This is what we see everynight. Exhausted from a good day of digging WW1 trenches in my backyard and reminding ALL squirrels in the neighborhood that they live here. Now explain to me how I am supposed to get to my couch?

Jason took me shopping!! And I knew we would be looking into blenders and there she was. Waiting for me!! A KitchenAid 'Cook for the Cure' pink blender!! And actually it is a darn good blender!! Let's see if it makes it thorugh Kara Colada season ;)

Hey Brenda didn't we just have the banana conversation? Why lookie here! I had to take a picture for you!!

Back to my shopping!! Now I don't know about you guys but it is though pretty red stickers that Target puts on their clearance items that make my heart go all a flutter!! I can't take a normal stroll down any aisle cause when I see red my body involuntarily goes in that direction!! Let me show you some of my treasures!
This serving bowl with wrought iron base. $7!!! It is so big.

I had told Naomi that I had been sitting on my couch for to long cause I was having visions of stuff I wanted for my house. I went on to describe a wooden bowl with a flat bottom and a decent side. And *poof* there she was!!! $4
I wanted to have all the goodies I keep by the stove in it but then when we move to the table we just pick up the bowl. See what I mean! Target knows me!! S&P shakers are new but I paid full price. Please don't tell my Mom!! She takes great pride in the fact she raised bargain hunters. I am only weak every once in awhile!!!

This picture doesn't come close to letting you understand how gorgeous this serving bowl is. I paid $13 which was clearance a bit more then what I would normally pay but I just had to have it!! Come on ladies surely you understand that!!

Well I am glad you got to share with you my goodies from Target. I guess I need to have a dinner party soon to justify all these serving bowls!!!
When shall I pencil you in?

Things I had forgotten....

.....trees, clouds, birds, grass......

I had Jason and the girls describe these things to me every night as I drifted off to sleep. I had Cameron draw me pictures everyday while I sat on the couch. They seemed like a distant dream. But today was the day!! I was feeling good and Jason and I planned on going out for lunch and if I was up to it maybe some shopping. At Target of course!

Like taking pictures of a babies first steps Jason and I wanted to capture this moment in case my Mom wants to put it in my baby book. I assume she still keeps it updated!! ;)

Jason and I are fully aware of how hilarious we are!!

Underwear is for WHIMPS!!!

I have relayed this story to a few of you but I must share it with the world!!! I feel like if I have made just one person out there smile I have done my part for society!! ;)

Cameron is four now and even though we have a few extra struggles with him Daddy was quite confident it was time to introduce him to the joy of underwear!!! Considering Jason has known the joy of underwear for over 30 years he thought it was time to pass that knowledge unto his son. So they come home late from school and in the front door they strut with a package from the BX!! Crisp new ever so bright white underwear!! So we get Cameron stripped down to change into this cool new piece of clothing and Cameron looks at the underwear and looks at us and politely says 'No' and shakes his head. As adorable as that was we proceed with the original plan and put on his underwear. He walked around for a few minutes then came to me and said 'biaper' , some people may pronounce that diaper, 'no baby no diaper'. So he laid down on the couch and looked up at Jason and in this sweet voice said 'please' he even signed the wordd, too. Awww another adorable moment! Thank goodness Jason and I are those heartless kind of parents cause we just told him no again. That's when Cameron decided it was time to take things into his own hands!!! Fine!! He will just go get his own diaper. We all know that Cameron is a pillar of masculinity but he just couldn't muster up that strength that was needed to get that diaper out of tight grasp of the cleverly packaged Luvs!!! So that is when he proceeded to fall unto the ground in pure frusteration!! He wasn't angry or screaming just quite frusterated. So as we stood over him with our hands on our hips and our smirks on our faces we just chuckled as he laid there and pouted. And then *ding* the light bulb went off. This is that kind of memory you want to capture for a lifetime!! It would be best to share it with people out there that might care. Unlike his heartless parents ;)

My son laying on the floor in his first pair of underwear frusterated and laying next to the evil bag that holds his ever so precisou diapers! If only he was unbathed and maybe a bit hungry. That would be the definition of a tragedy. Shakespeare where are you now that we need you!?!?!

Oh wait a tick Mommy has that camera I am supposed to be cute with a dash of funny!!

OK done being precious back to opening this package!!! Now where did I leave my blow torch?

Never you fear you kind hearted masses. Cameron made it out of that predicament with what we think are very few emotional scars. Granted potty training has just begun so there are many many emotional scars ahead of us for all parties involved!!
I love this moment with Josie B. He asked her for help trying to figure out a game and they ended up sitting there for awhile and very very quiet too!

I was trying to describe to my Miss Brenda that I had framed some of the girl's artwork and so I decided to take a quick picture to share with everyone. I have them up this way cause I of course will be adding more!! I have a really cool ocean one Hannah did. Cameron of course has so much art so the problem is narrowing it down!!

Well I am off to refluff the princess throne of pillows. It looks like I am sleeping on the couch tonight. My decision. The pain in my left shoulder is a bit to much to bear trying to sleep on a bed. So I am hoping that if I sleep propped up it will help! I will let you all know how that works out for me ;)

Good Night!

Happy 4th Birthday Cameron!!

Perfection in the size of a 4 yr old boy!!! Not the perkiest thing you will see at 6 AM in the morning but much better looking then the woman behind the camera right now!! Here is little man after Daddy has gotten him ready for school. I am not normally moving around now but I got myself up on his birthday!!

Check out the little man with sleep still in his eyes!!

I had Jason take a picture of him getting on the bus. He has been riding it for a few weeks. We still like picking him up from his classroom so we can have the chance to hear about Cameron's day everyday. Look at him down there. A little shocked that the paparazzi found him on the bus.

I sent Jason to get the Birthday Prince at school with extra cookies from the night before. Jason said it was funny because the class started singing Happy Birthday to Cameron and he was scanning the table looking for who they were all singing to.

Captured some tender moments with Mrs lmn-O. I find her to be a insanely brave woman. There aren't to many people who would dare get that close to Cameron while he eats his cookie! His incisors look quite sharp!! She backed up ever so slowly and I am happy to report that she needed no stitches. This time.

Back at home in the house his Daddy built for him. He got this ViewMaster projector for Christmas that he absolutely adores! If you look at the blue wall you can see the slideshow he had going. All cuddled up in his fort for quite sometime. It was so cute.

Oh yes and the new shoes that we got him. We think he will grow into them real soon!!

Oh alright they are Jason's boats.....um I mean shoes. Cameron was cracking us up watching him try to manuvre these things around.
We didn't really do anything today since he got his present and cookie cake the night before. Jason's brother Troy will be here the 17th so we plan on having a pizza party with some friends So yes I will have even MORE Cameronpalooza!!

Crazy Carnival Clubhouse!!

Here it is Sunday the 3rd. Not 'officially' Cameron's birthday. But we had a lazy sitting around the house kind of day so we thought it best to let Cameron have his Carnival clubhouse! Well it was a major hit. And we got a small suprise. It is a wee bit bigger then we origianlly expected.

It is time for Cookie Cake! Cameron's favorite kind. He wouldn't quit blowing the candles out when Jas was lighting them. A small scuffle insued but I think Cameron apologized for making Jason cry!

If you look in these next two shots he has his lips pursed and he is blowing away!!!

Just some quick shot from Sundays activities. I have a few more from his actual birthday. But I wanted to strt off with these and it is so hard to choose between so many pictures! Enjoy!!

One week later

Well it has been a whole week since my surgery!! I still hurt but I feel like I am healing quite well. Jason took me out in public for the first time ;) We only went less then a mile to the BX but it was enough for me!! I got alot of chocolate to make it all better!! And Bengay. Chocolate and Bengay can you think of a better duo?

Jason and I being goofy. Wanna Smooch?

I wanted to show you guys my scar. I still can't believe how great it looks! My doctor made it clear he was quite proud of his stitching ability and I can see why. He used a technique like a plastic surgeon. So the stitches are actually inside and they will just dissolve away. Cool eh? I didn't even think to ask how many I have.

Monday after the surgery was a rough day for me. Dr Highsmith found out some stuff while he was in there. I had told him that things had gotten considerably worse for me in the past few weeks. When he got in there he saw that my Herniated Disk had almost completely blocked off the nerves to my left arm. And it had actually shifted some of my other vertebrae so they were rubbing up against each other bone on bone. So he had to realign some of my vertebrae which I can tell you now when I came out of the anestesia I said a hearty 'OW!!' It will take some time to let my nerves heal and let my vertebrae get used to being where they are supposed to be. Oh and another doozy he found out is I am quite the bleeder! My Mother told Jason afterwards 'Oh yeah that is a hereditary thing.' That might of come in handy BEFORE the surgery Mom!! I didn't need a transfusion but they did get concerned there for a bit.

I don't come out of anastesia well. Never have. I am quite panicked. I saw others come out where it looked like a good long sleep. I come out with arms flailing. Oh no I am serious. But I came out and everything hurt. My back was the worst. They iced it down which helped alot. My neck of course hurt from the incision and my throat hurt from having a breathing tube down in it and the fact it had to be shifted to the side so he could get to the disk. With it swollen and hoarse even drinking water was so difficult. It is and odd feeling having your neck pretty much out of commision. They tried a neck brace but to be honest ALL of my chins didn't quite fit ;) Sorry but Jas would be proud of that comment. Anyway the brace was to big and it didn't help. I spent the rest of Monday getting over the side effects of anestesia. Nowhere near as much fun as the brocures said it would be. By Tuesday I was ready to go home. There is no way to get really comfortable and get a good sleep in a hospital. Tuesday was a rough day but no more then to be expected. It hurt to use my neck muscles. And guess what! You always use your neck muscles!! Wed through Fri just went so much better then expected. I still had aches and pains but I was sitting up and talking and eating somewhat well. My beautiful friend Brenda sent me a cookie bouquet! Oh wait we took a picture! Cameron thought this thing was GENIUS!! I held my throat pouting trying to figure out if I soaked one of those bad boys long enough in milk I might be able to eat it. But never you fear I got a couple of nibbles in!!

My friend Naomi also checked on me and brought me potted flowers that cried the minute they saw me cause even they knew their days were numbered! No pictures of them but I will try before their funeral. Naomi also brought me some goodies. Grapes that were not peeled but I have decided to forgive her anyway ;) I got cards from Naomi, Felisha and Julie. Thanks guys. They are hung in my living room!!

This past weekend my body reminded me I am still healing so it was kind of rough. Today I feel better and did venture out. Like I said I didn't last long but I am so over my couch!! I have been spending what time I can typing things out. I sit here for a bit but I wanted to post on my one week surger-a-versary!!

LOL even I know I am a nerd ;)
