Halloween 2008

Hands down my biggest blog ever!! I will try and keep the chit chat to a minimum :D

We did homemade costumes this year! I tell you what if you plan in advance they are so much fun to do!! Jason and Cameron's are hands down the best!! As you all know Cameron is a alphabet fiend! Over a year ago Jason was doodling , as he does, and came up with a picture of Cameron as 'The Alphabet Avenger'!! Well I decided that that was going to be an awesome costume!! And it came together perfectly!! IT is supposed to look like he did it himself. Which is why his cape is a kitchen towel and the clothes are a mish mash of PJ's!

Showing Daddy his take off skills. But all he wanted to do is get in the van and head over to Mimi's!! It was time for some serious Trick or Treating!

Jason made it himself. I don't think an explanation in really needed. Feel free to chuckle. I do every time I look at this!

The Buytas's neighborhood! We are over here cause after Trick or Treating the Buytas's are putting on a party for the older kids!

You have all heard her name. You have all definitely met her daughter Megan (perky white blond gazelle type thing) but here she is in the flesh!!

A new friend of mine!! Miss Carrie! Poor darlin' is taking on a HUGE new project with me and Jason's Squadron. Basically she is becoming a minion of mine. But more on that later ;)

Scary Josie B!!

That cake is mine and it freaking ROCKS!!! I have been planning it since last year when I did the all black wedding cake! I knew I never wanted to work with black again so I started off my plans with a white cake and went from there! The knife at the top with the blood coming out was the last bit I came up with. Seriously I love this cake! Pooh I didn't get a better shot of Naomi's cheeseball. My second favorite thing on this table!

Now here is my second claim to fame! I found a Jell-O mold shaped like a brain!!! heehee! I plopped that sucker right in the middle of the punch! The kids faces are grossed out because they didn't know it was there. But they all loved poking it afterwards! lol

LOL the best part of this picture of Liam in these fabulous heels!?! Jason found it quite funny to get numerous shots of this. Called Mike over to show him his son and as he was laughing and showing off the pictures........

A slight mess afterwards!

I am not sure the name of this game. Basically you guess what is in the boxes. After a certain level of comfort a real hand comes at you! We were so ready for some high pitched teenage girl screams! But they all stayed rather quiet!

Seriously? The cake? Again? But only one more thing I promise! Look I also poured strawberry Jell-O unto the cake so it looked like it was seeped in blood!! Cake tasted like straight up strawberry! Rather good.

I am not even sure how to explain what they were doing. It was funny and it made them happy for quite sometime!

They had one of those motion sensor bowls that the hand moved and it made a scary noise. These pictures are funny but a video would of been better! At one point he was going through their kitchen cabinets to find new stuff to throw in it!

Only Sara and I will find this picture funny. Here is Megan explaining how things are! lol Dead serious moment by the way ;)

Oh thank you Buytas family for making this one of the best Halloween's ever! I know my girls will remember it for quite sometime! Sara you were such a trooper for putting up with me all night! Especially since you were risking severe sunburn with Jason in the room! I hope everyone had a safe and fabulous Halloween! We did!

Cameron's Halloween Party

One last Halloween blog!! These are actually from Halloween Day. That would of been one long blog down there if I would of added these! But these are from Cameron's classroom. A little Halloween party for the kiddos. I brought cupcakes with icing and sprinkles for the kids to decorate their own. Mrs lmn-O and Mrs Simmons of course had other activities for them. I won't babble to long in this one cause there are quite a few pics. Here is Cameron decorating his frame. I am actually quite happy cause Cameron didn't know I was in the room! Last year didn't go quite well with me volunteering int he room. Cameron was known to throw a couple of fits or quit participating in classroom activities. He said 'Hi' and got excited to see me but continued on with what the teachers had planned for him. Maybe Mrs lmn-O will let me come and play more often!!

After this picture was taken Cameron's Mommy schmoozed him the best way she knew how. Which of course did NOT work so she waited til his back was turned. HAHAHAHA!!! What? We are talking Milk Duds people!!! Thank goodness we weren't talking 3 Musketeers I may of gotten a detention :P

He sat there forever just swirling the icing with his knife! I popped off the bottom cause of course as we all know we don't actually EAT icing. Icing is there to fear not enjoy.

It was a great classroom visit. Which I hope he keeps this trend up of letting me come in without a meltdown. Mrs lmn-O says that she is having a Thanksgiving Luncheon in the classroom!! Woohoo!!

Halloween 2007

The infamous much talked about Graveyard!!! I know I know she isn't much to look at. But this is our first year and it is something we shall build on over the years!! I added weapons and blood to it after this picture and didn't remember to take another one. Oh well. We had a fog machine out there and Hannah had her Karaoke machine out there. It played spooky music and Hannah could talk into the microphone.



We were a little nervous this year thinking that just one Batman would not be enough to save the day so we ordered two Batmans. And look here they are!!! It's Hunter and Parker!! I don't think it matters which is which but they both are doing so much better then they did last year!! More into the spirit of going up to complete strangers and asking for candy. We do send alot of mixed signals to our poor children!!

Hannah did most of her own make-up! Jason kind of figured it is hard to mess up scary make-up so he let her loose. She had him help with the shading. I told her she couldn't wear her mask because it is a little to much for the teeny tiny's.

Shay, Shannon, Quinn and Rhys came by to say HI!! I can't believe I don't have a picture of Rhys AKA Spiderman ( just in case our 2 Batman's needed help saving the day! ) But here is Quinner's as Boba Fett! MJ was with some of her friends. As cheerleaders as you can see from the cake blog below!!

Here is the Dead Bride again!! Looking more Goth then Dead. She wouldn't wear her veil or carry her bouquet!!

BTW Jason handmade Cameron's Diego vest!! I had been talking Dobby for quite some time but when we took Cameron out he knew and was excited about Diego. But the costume cost way to much and it was complete junk. So Jason talked about making it and for two days he snipped and sewed away!! Cameron was not a good model for any seamstress but once it was done he got really excited!! My favorite part is Diego's patch that Jason painted. The man really ROCKS!!!

Happy Halloween from the Davis Family!!

Look at all of these fabulous people in my drive way!!! Of course we were going to walk with H&P. It was a real bummer but Chad just couldn't get back in time to trick or treat with the twins. A hole in the plane!! What luck. Danielle, Pete and Repeat AKA Emilie AKA Minnie Mouse as you will see soon. And then I convinced Shay to stick with us!! I tell you what though after we swooped in on your home you were almost out of candy ;)

Oh darn it you can't see her ears very well!! But here she is the cutest Minnie Mouse I have ever seen!! Even though I think Danielle could of pulled it off ;)

Cameron really got into it this year! Even started saying his own version of Trick or Treat. All we know is it had a 'ick and a 'eat in there. And Josie made sure he said Thank You every time. I am not sure if she did though ;) And I think the red eye in this picture is perfect!! Diego isn't normally quite so demonic.

There he is there he is!! You can see Spiderman in the background! This is the last picture. By now it is to dark. Josie held Cameron's hand the whole time. She had troubles with her make up and ended up leaving to go shower. Poor thing. You know it was bad if the girls was leaving trick and treating!!

We had a good Halloween!! A little disappointed is how many 3 Musketeers my kids brought home but I guess there will always be next year!! Jas and I will be hitting the clearance racks soon to see what we can add to our graveyard for next years festivities!! The girls and I have already been discussing costumes. I am not going to tell you guys though it is a surprise!!!
